What it is: A hinged cooking device (similar to a waffle maker) that cooks food from the top and bottom simultaneously and has two pockets, or wells, in which to put food items.
Our review: The GT Xpress 101 is a nifty cooker that we enjoyed using, but its small size is a drawback. GT Xpress 101 review

Harvey Westmeier, Caracas, Venezuela: "The Xpress 101 is just too small, it cooks very slowly, and while it does do fine on some recipes on many that I tried it just turned out a soggy mess. I wanted to like this product, but sorry, I just can't recommend it."
Patty, Austin, Maine: "Good, solid gadget. I was a little surprised, actually. I received one as a gift and thought, 'wow, an infomercial gagdets, thanks a lot'. But it surprised me by turning out to a lot of fun to use. It is very small, that's true, but as a single person I don't require big portions. However, note that there's no way one GT Xpress 101 could feed a family."
D.D., Austin: "More often than not, the food comes out mushy. It's cooked through, but the liquids don't evaporate like on the stovetop and just make the breading mushy. Not good. It's small. There's no way to adjust the head. It gets gunk in its casing pretty quickly. The cooking plates clean up well but all the gunk that builds up around the edges and crevices is disgusting and very hard to clean. Don't buy it."
