Review: Showtime Rotisserie Oven

showtime rotisserie By Charlotte Kuchinsky
for AsSeenOnTVCritic.com

One of my favorite kitchen appliances is my ShowTime Rotisserie Oven. I love it! It is simple to use, quick to set, and best of all, I don't have to stand over it, stir it, or flip it. I just "set it and forget it" while I get some of my other work done. What’s not to like?

Why Choose A ShowTime Rotisserie Oven?
The first thing you have to recognize, is that this product is made by Ron Popeil; one of the most trusted names in the kitchen appliance industry. Secondly, this is a product that lives up to all the hype generated about it. It works exactly as claimed or even a bit better. Finally, there are lots of models to choose from, including the 3000, 4000, 5000, and 6000 models.

I like that the oven is so compact. Mine fits right on my kitchen counter. It is simple to clean with a glass front and enameled outside construction and an easy-to-clean inside as well. Most models come in at least two colors, including white, platinum gray, and black. The 5000 platinum gray model comes with a four-hour digital timer. All others came with a three-hour dial timer. Many of the ShowTime Ovens also come with a heating tray that allows you to cook vegetables on top of the oven as your meat cooks inside. That means you won’t have to drag out a single pot or pan if you want to cook veggies, as well.

What Can I Use My ShowTime Oven For?
The ShowTime Rotisserie Oven can be used to make chicken, turkey, pot roasts, ribs, fish, shish-kabobs and just about any other meat dish you can think of. But that’s not all.

I am thoroughly convinced that there is no better way in the world to make chicken. It comes out plump, juicy, tender, and absolutely delicious. It is so mouth-watering and succulent that I can almost taste it as I write this article.

How Much Does the Oven Cost and Where Can I Buy One?
The various ShowTime Rotisseries Ovens come with slightly different accessory kits, cooking capacities, and additional gifts. They range in price from $60 at discount department stores like Wal-Mart to around $260. You control the size, shape, and capacity of your oven, thereby controlling the overall price as much as possible.

I purchased my 4000 oven at nearly $200 several years ago and wouldn’t trade it for three times that amount even today. It is worth every single penny.

The Verdict
I love this product. When mine dies, you can bet I’ll be purchasing another that very same day. I really can’t imagine not having one of these ovens in my kitchen. I’d be lost without it. I certainly can’t make a chicken any other way.

The product comes virtually fully assembled and requires little effort to get it ready to use. It meets every one of the manufacturer’s claims or exceeds them. I don’t think you can ask for anything more. This product gets 10 out of 10 stars. It is just that good!
