What it is: A hinged cooker for the stovetop. Pour batter into the bottom, let it set, flip it over and cook on the other side, and you've got a pancake.

• Karl O'Quinn, Manchester, N.H.: "Not something I would brag about to others, but functional. There's really no reason to prefer this over a regular pancake griddle, however. I'd say just stick with what you've got for cooking pancakes."
